My Blog

It's hard to write something in a blog every day. Here in Brockville the whirl of activity just never ends. Today, for example, I walked the dog, worked out at the gym and went bowling. Yesterday I walked the dog and went bowling. The day before I ..... well, you get the picture. Just busy, busy, busy.

One thing I can crow about - all my Christmas shopping is done and all my presents are wrapped. Nyah! Nyah! I wish Christmas were tomorrow.

Blue Jays
Mood:  incredulous
Why on earth are the Jays squandering $4.5 million on a shortstop when they have the best glove in the world at shortstop already? So Eckstein gets two extra hits a week! Big deal! He can't possibly play the position better than Johnny Mac. In addition they insult one of ther best players, Alex Rios, by offering to trade him for a pitcher. We need a catcher who can actually throw out a runner once in a while and a third baseman who is not hurt every time he turns around. Godfrey and Riccardi must be smoking something bad.

More rants

Well, well! The best blog ever???? Thanks Exqaliber.

I saw in our local paper a little ad that said, "Shop locally! Everyone gains." What a crock that is! I bought three books from Amazon over the net that cost me $13.50 C, including tax, duty and shipping. The same three booka are in our local Coles for $31 C plus tax. Shop locally and make the Brockville merchants rich.

We had an American kestrel (aka sparrowhawk) at the bird feeder. He was looking for a nice plump sparrow or chickadee for lunch but he didn't get one. It was quite a charge to see him.

Enough for now, it's supper time.

I finally managed to log onto my own blog. Pretty sad eh!

Thanks for the comments guys.  I read in today's paper that Canada is being severely criticized for oveuse of energy and adding to greenhouse gasses. It's interesting that a lot of the criticism comes from people living south of the Mason Dixon Line or in southern Italy or France. Let them see how much energy they would use trying to live through a Canadian winter. I also read an article that said that, if Canada stopped contributing greenhouse gasses entirely the result would be unnoticeable. Canada contributes about .001% percent of the global warming gasses. We could use a little global warming this winter anyhow. Let all the eco Nazis eat cake!!

How's that for a good Canadian rant?

I thought I'd set up a blog too. It seems to be the thing to do these days. I have so many important and really witty and intelligent things to write. For example, Leafs lost tonight. What a bunch of stumblebums. They can only score one goal in their own rink. There, isn't that intelligent?
